The "Papers" section contains a PDF and Booking form for GCVS Training and learning Programme from August to the end of December 2009. You will find a mixture of old favourites and new courses as well as SVQs and other awards that are suited to the ever changing environment of the voluntary sector.
From the feedback GCVS receive from previous participants, together with the research that they have carried out within the sector, it would appear that many organisations are beginning to feel the effects of lower than anticipated funding levels. Unfortunately when belts are tightened one of the easiest budgets to target is the training budget. However, this is precisely the time to invest even more in your people in order that they can gain the skills that will increase their capacity and therefore gain your organisation even more value from its money.
To make training more effective GCVS are able to also offer bespoke courses tailored to your organisations requirements at very reasonable prices.
Its also important to remind everyone that all of the courses are registered with ILA Scotland and therefore any individual who is earning £22,000 or under can apply to open an Individual Learning Account and receive a £200 subsidy towards any learning of their choice.
